how it started
Dancing the Bible started in February 2026 in response to the success of the dance film KING — a four year production choreographed and directed by Vashti Goracke.
KING found international success, earning film festival awards in Australia and the Philippines. In the United States, it took home Best Micro Film, Best Choreography, and Best Cinematography.
But the impact of KING extended beyond the screen. The film was accompanied by live speaking presentations hosted by the Director — "Christ's Kingship: How Flexible Are You to the Will of God?" and "Christ's Kingship: Whose voice is moving you?" — which resonated with audiences ranging from middle schoolers to senior citizens.
KING is currently in its final year of film festival screenings. Beginning in August 2026, a Scripture Guide for KING along with additional devotional resources will be released to the public and made available to churches. We encourage you to explore more about the film at here.
